Step 3: Consultation. I offer a free consultation to discuss your custom set order. During this conversation, we’ll go over your preferences in detail. This is your opportunity to let me know about the colors, length, thickness, and any other unique features you desire for your synthetic dreadlocks. Feel free to send me some examples from the internet (or screenshots of my works) of wishful color palettes/schemes (for crocheted locs)!

Step 4: Quote and Payment after our consultation, I will provide you with a personalized quote for your custom handmade synthetic dreads. Also, you can check the price through my website, just go to Shop -> Synthetic locs -> choose wishful dreads style and parameters, please notice that the price for a custom set of synthetic locs by me depends on locs style, length, and quantity! Once you’re satisfied with the quote, I’ll guide you through the placing an order/payment process.

Booking a slot for your custom locs is a straightforward process to ensure you receive the personalized and timely service you deserve. Here’s how to secure your spot with ease:

Visit my Website / Instagram: Start by visiting my website or Instagram, where you can explore my services and the options available for your custom order. If you want to purchase some beads or other items in Stock (you’ll find them in a section Available), just send me a message with a screenshot of the product and your email address, where I can send you an invoice with all of the payment details for your order!

Check Availability: After we discuss all of the details of your custom order on Instagram or through email, on my website you will find a convenient calendar displaying available dates for custom dreadlock creation. Or you can do it in advance even before the consultation, to see if the wishful dates are available! This calendar helps you choose a date that suits your schedule.

If you have an occasion (an event / a trip / a festival / or you just want to wear a set by me), and you want to have your set to be done before the occasion, choose dates at least 4-5 weeks before the wishful date (because of the shipping). For example, Tisha has a wedding day on 24th June, and she wants to have a partial set for her wedding hairstyle. After my consultation, Tisha checked my calendar and chose 10-11 May as dates for her custom set creation. She will know that I as an artist will spend exactly these two days making her wedding locs <3

Make Your Payment: To book your wishful slot/dates, please send me your email address, so that you’ll get your invoice for a custom order! If you want to place your order more than 3 months in advance, you pay only 50% of the total amount to book the dates. Three weeks before the booked dates you pay the rest 50%. If you want to place your order less than 2 months before, you place your order with a full payment.
Once your payment is confirmed, I will mark the selected dates as “booked” and no one will be able to book these dates!

Confirmation: After payment, you will receive a confirmation of your order/booking, along with the specifics of your custom order and the chosen date. This ensures that your slot is reserved exclusively for you. Please, notice that sometimes your order can be delayed a bit for a couple of days to one week due to unexpected circumstances (for example, if I get sick or if the delivery to me with needed materials for your custom set was delayed). But if something like this happens, I do my best to work even at night to complete all of the custom orders in time. Thank you for your understanding!

Enjoy the Process: With your slot secured, you can look forward to the creation of your unique synthetic dreadlocks by Daria. I will work diligently to meet your expectations and deliver your order on the agreed-upon date (as I mentioned before, your order can be delayed a bit for a couple of days to one week due to unexpected circumstances)

Please note that once a date is marked as “booked” by a customer, it will no longer be available for others to select. This system ensures that you receive dedicated attention during the creation of your custom dreads and helps me manage my schedule effectively to maintain the highest quality standards for every order.

If you have any questions or need further assistance with booking your custom order, don’t hesitate to reach out to me through my contact options – I don’t have any other options as other links/profiles/assistants to contact me – your Daria by DreadsCorner, besides those links that you see on my website. I’m here to make the process smooth and enjoyable for you.

My recommendations will help you to choose the locs amount you need!

The needed locs amount of course varies, depending on your desired result/look/inspo, the volume of your hair, and, for example, how big your shaved sides are. Please,  notice that I can make a set of DE+ SE locs (if you order a full set of 50 DE, I can make it as 40 DE + 20 SE).

Next, I will give more common examples of locs quantity for different goals or hair- and locs styles.

For crocheted locs:

  • 60 DE or 100-120 SE – a full set for extra volume or for thick hair to cover a whole head
  • 50 DE locs or  80-100 SE – a regular full set to cover a whole head
  • 45 DE or 70-80 SE – to cover a whole head and leave your bangs out
  • 30-40 DE or 50-70 SE – for undercut zone, it varies depending on how big the zone is and on the desired volume
  • Half set of 25 DE or 50 SE – to cover a half-head
  • 10-15 DE or 20-30 SE as a partial set
  • 5-10 DE or 10-20 SE as an accent set

For Dready Waves:

15 DE – Partial set

30 DE – Half set

45 DE – Full set, leave bangs out

60 DE – Full set

70 DE – Extra volume set/set for thick hair

For permanent Synth Extensions:

If you want to extend your natural locs with synth extensions, please message me how many locs you’d need, and how thick/thin they are

Clip-in locs Sets:

For these sets, it’s possible to order only the amount of clips by me

(if you’d need another amount of them but no more than 8 clip-ins, please contact me)

  1. 2  clip-in locs (2 de locs on one clip – 8 ends in all)
  2. 4 clip-in locs (2 de locs on one clip – 16 ends in all)
  3. 8 clip-in locs  (2 de locs on one clip – 32 ends in all)

Absolutely! At DreadsCorner, I take pride in creating customized and unique synthetic dreadlock sets tailored to your preferences, including matching your hair color. With years of experience as an artist, I have honed my skills in crafting, picking, and blending a wide range of colors and shades to achieve your desired look. Here’s how we can bring your vision to life:

Tell Me Your Preferences: You’re in the driver’s seat when it comes to your locs style. Simply let me know what hair color you’d like for your synthetic dreadlocks, and any specific shades or hues you have in mind.

Color Inspiration: If you’re not entirely sure about the exact shade you want, feel free to share any inspiration pictures, color palettes, or images of your current hair color. I’m here to help you find the perfect match, and your ideas are valuable in the creative process.

Expert Color Matching: With my extensive experience, I have a keen eye for color matching.

I can create synthetic dreadlocks that seamlessly blend with your natural hair color or any specific shade you desire (as close as it’s possible according to your pictures!)

Limitless Possibilities: Whether you’re looking for bold and vibrant colors, subtle highlights, or a complete match to your hair, I can make it happen. My goal is to exceed your expectations and make you feel fantastic in your new customized dreadlocks.

If you wish to make changes (e.g. roots color for crocheted locs or to change a style for decorations) to your order, please contact me as soon as possible after you place your order. I’ll do my best to accommodate your requests, but it’s essential to communicate any changes before I start production to avoid delays and additional costs.

If you’re in Spain and you want to have a personal appointment with me to install your temporary dreads, extend your natural locs, or maintain your natural locs – you’re welcome! The rules on how to order/book your appointment are the same – please check my FAQ. About prices for the services you can ask me on my Instagram or via my email 🙂

You separate/section your head (or a part of your head) on equal squares and braid one DE or SE loc into one base. I have a video with the braiding technique on Instagram.

For my customers, I have more useful videos and tips on how to install them. So, according to the videos you braid your hair around a loc till the end and fix your hair with a thread or elastic band.
For long-wearing (1-2 months), I’d recommend fixing it with a thread – I have a video on how to fix a thread. I always send threads/elastics with custom locs in one parcel to my customers for free, so you don’t need to spend your time to find some! If you prefer to fix locs with elastic bands, please let me know and I will send them instead of threads!

To wear temporary locs by me you don’t need to crochet your hair because I make Temporary and Safe (they do not harm/damage your hair!) locs that you can wear for 1-2 months! Please notice that 2 months is the maximum for temporary locs! Take them out after 1-2 months, and you can use/braid them again after some time because they’re reusable!

I make temporary Double or Single ended locs, so you can braid them in according to a special technique, and take them out without any damage to your hair.
Also, I can make SE synthetic extensions so you can crochet them into your natural locs to extend them <3

I work only with high-quality hypoallergenic synthetic material Kanekalon and fiber. Sometimes I incorporate goat hair in custom temporary locs.
I do not work with wool or natural hair (with natural locs I work sometimes only in real life – for example – maintenance)

Washing your head with temporary locs requires a gentle touch and proper care to keep your hair and scalp clean and healthy. Follow these steps and my tips:

Frequency: Aim to wash your head with temporary locs every 7-10 days, or as needed. Infrequent washing can cause buildup and irritation

Use Residue-Free Shampoo: Select a high-quality, residue-free shampoo if you can. If you can not – use your regular one but avoid products with heavy conditioners, as they can leave behind residues that make your locs dirty faster, and there is a chance that some part of the residues can stuck in your locs

Dilute the Shampoo: Dilute your shampoo with water to make it easier to distribute through your locs. A 1:4 shampoo-to-water ratio is a good starting point for getting a shampoo foam

Gentle Application: Gently massage the foam shampoo onto your scalp only (you can use a sponge – put the foam on a sponge), concentrating on the roots where oils and debris tend to accumulate

Rinse Thoroughly: Rinse your locs and scalp with lukewarm water, ensuring that all shampoo is completely washed out. Use a gentle stream of water to prevent tangles. The foamy water will be enough to wash the synth locs length!

Pat Dry: After washing, gently pat your locs and scalp with a clean, dry towel and wrap them for 5-10 minutes. Avoid vigorous rubbing, as it can cause frizz and damage your locs

Air Dry: Don’t hold them in a towel for a long time. Put the towel on your shoulders, and allow your locs to air dry naturally (water will just flow down from synth locs and they’ll be dry very fast, and to make your braided around a loc hair dry will take a bit longer time). Avoid using heat styling tools, as excessive heat can weaken the locs and lead to breakage.
Please, notice that going to sleep with wet temporary locs is dangerous for your scalp health! Make sure first that they’re fully dry – your braided hair and synthetic locs. If you have any other questions or concerns, message me for personalized guidance.

I do take care of my customer’s experience, and I think that properly storing and caring for your synthetic dreads when they are not braided in is essential to maintain their appearance and longevity. Here are some steps and tips from me for my customers to follow:

Keep Them Clean: Before storing your synthetic dreads, make sure they are clean. If they are dirty or have product residue, wash them with a mild, residue-free shampoo and allow them to air dry completely

Gather Your Supplies: You will need a few items for storage: a sealable plastic bag or a container, a breathable fabric bag, and some moisture-absorbing packets (silica gel or similar)

Loosely Braid or Twist Them: To prevent tangling and keep the dreads manageable, loosely braid or twist them together in small bundles (not necessary, it is optional). This also helps maintain the shape and texture of the dreads

Place in a Plastic Bag: Put the braided dreads in a sealable plastic bag. Ensure that there is no air inside the bag to prevent moisture from entering. You can also place the moisture-absorbing packets inside the bag to help keep the dreads dry. The step is optional, you can use only the next one

Use a Breathable Fabric Bag: Next, place the sealed plastic bag containing the dreads inside a breathable fabric bag. This fabric bag provides an extra layer of protection and allows air to circulate

Store in a Cool, Dry Place: Find a cool, dry place to store your dreads. Avoid areas with extreme temperatures or humidity, as these can affect the quality of the synthetic hair

Avoid Sunlight: Keep your stored dreads away from direct sunlight to prevent fading and color changes

Check and Refresh: Periodically check your dreads to ensure they remain in good condition. You may want to refresh them by washing and re-braiding them when needed

Protect from Dust: Dust can accumulate on stored locs over time. To prevent this, keep the fabric bag securely closed when not in use.

By following my tips, you can keep your synthetic dreads in excellent condition and ready for use whenever you decide to braid them into your hair again. Proper storage and care will help extend the life of your locs and maintain their appearance!

I take care of my customer’s health, and I create only Save Temporary dreads! The maximum weight that you can put on your scalp is 600 grams, but I think the weight is too heavy anyway (my personal bad experience back in 2017 year)!

This is why custom locs by me go as 350g to 450g (for a full set 15-24 inches e.g.), depending on their style, length, and thickness!

And for sure, custom synthetic dreads by me are a versatile option for individuals with sensitive skin or alopecia, provided you take the necessary precautions and consider certain factors. Here’s what you need to know:

For super Sensitive and allergic Skin:

Choose High-Quality Materials: Synthetic locs made by me are from high-quality, hypoallergenic materials. I always look for products that are free from harmful chemicals and irritants. I can not guarantee they won’t 100% contain harmful chemicals and irritants because sometimes some brands do not tell us how their material was processed in a factory

Test for Allergies: Before installing your synthetic locs, it’s advisable to do a patch test. Apply a small section of the locs to your skin and observe for any adverse reactions over 24 hours

Proper Installation: Ensure that your synthetic locs are installed correctly, according to the right technique. Avoid tight or overly heavy installations, as they can cause discomfort and irritation.

Regular Cleaning: Keep your scalp clean to prevent the buildup of dirt, oils, and residues that can exacerbate skin sensitivity.

Consult a Professional: If you have concerns about skin sensitivity, consider having your synthetic dreads installed by a professional with experience in working with individuals who have sensitive skin

For Alopecia:

Lightweight Options: Synthetic dreadlocks are typically lighter than natural hair dreads, which can be beneficial for individuals with alopecia. Choose lightweight synthetic dreads to minimize stress on your scalp

Gentle Installation: Have your dreadlocks installed gently to prevent any further stress on your scalp and hair follicles

Maintain Scalp Health: Continue to care for your scalp to support overall hair and skin health. Use products that are suitable for sensitive or alopecic skin

Regular Checks: Periodically check for any changes in your scalp condition and be attentive to your comfort level. If you notice discomfort or worsening symptoms, consider removing the dreadlocks and consulting a healthcare professional

Consultation: Before getting synthetic dreadlocks, it’s advisable to consult with a dermatologist or a trichologist to discuss your specific condition and receive personalized advice on how to wear temporary dreadlocks without compromising your scalp health

In both cases, it’s essential to prioritize your comfort and well-being. While many people with sensitive skin or alopecia can enjoy wearing synthetic dreadlocks, it’s crucial for me as for artist to keep you informed and give you professional guidance when necessary. My customer’s comfort and health are paramount to me, so don’t hesitate to reach out for expert advice.

Beyond doubt, synthetic loose hair will always try to get tangled with each other. They look, act, and feel differently if we compare them with crocheted wavy dreadlocks! Here are my little tips to make your experience more comfortable!

For the first 7-10 days, you’d need to separate them twice per day, after that – just once per day.

Before you go to sleep, make two braids to prevent additional tangling. When you wake up, undo your braids, use a spray for easy brushing (you can use any not-too-oily hair spray for easy brushing or for smoothing hair, e.g. it can be any hairspray for kids’ hair), and separate each strand from the other strands.

If you notice a small knot while wearing Dready Waves, don’t try to pull it away – just use small scissors and cut it very carefully without harming other hair!

In my Instagram highlights “Waves Care”, I tell how to take care of synthetic waves. Also, I have a post
with the information.

Dready Waves by me are reusable as any other temporary locs styles! They will always be wavy even after a bath/shower.

After some time, like after 1-2 months, they might (it’s so rare) become a Little Bit less wavy (because of the gravity) but they always will keep their wave, as well as after your first wearing they’ll look as soft wavy locs (not the same super loose wavy hair) because with time synthetic loose hair stick to each other, making kinda a loc (and we can not prevent it).

In my IG post with a girl near a blue wall, you can check how waves by me look like after 2 months of wearing <3 Also, in my Instagram highlights “Waves Care” you can see how Dready Waves by me, with needed care, look like after 2 months of wearing! A little spoiler, but they kept absolutely the same waves pattern

Colors for Dready Waves are limited but I have a lot of them available – natural-looking colors and colorful waves!

You can tell me about your color wishes/preferences and I’ll send you what is available close to your ideas!

By the way, some Waves colors can be checked in my Instagram highlights Waves Color or in this video

Yes, my online course how to Make Dready Waves is available anytime! More information about the big and very informative course can be found here

Please message me on Instagram or email me with such questions, and maybe I will find time to teach you everything I know and help you become a professional synthetic dreadlocks artist!

In 2024 year I’m planning to do a couple of workshops, but if you want to learn from the beginning, it’s better to learn person-to-person from me! Check my website page Education to see new updates with dates, available slots, and price for it!
